They say –

And you will have no work later

Their threats wear the veil of advice.

I cannot choose an area of intrest

That I can truly call mine.

I have to scratch

The areas

Where others have housed

Their itch.

When will the rule

That each can scratch their own itches

Be followed?

They say they are not familiar

With any of my areas.

When I speak my language,

They are ignorant in

All of my areas.

They sey,

The rule of guidance does not apply

Within unfamiliar territories

Who do not honour

The rules only to use them against us.

These overgrown nails of mine

Became ready to scratch their itch

The pus and the blood

In their itchy boil

Now lodge between

My nails and my fingers

And make me disgusted.

தலித் இலக்கிய ஆய்வால்
வேலை கிடைக்காதாம்
அறிவுறுத்தலின் பேரினால் அச்சுறுத்தப்படுகிறோம்
எனக்கான ஆய்வின் தலைப்பை
என்னால் தேர்ந்தெடுத்துக்கொள்ளமுடியவில்லை

எவன் எவனோவின்
அரிப்பிற்கேற்ற தலைப்புகளில்
நான் சொரிய வேண்டியதிருக்கிறது
அவனவனின் அரிப்புக்கு
அவனவனே
சொரிந்துகொள்ள வேண்டிய கோட்பாடு
எப்பொழுது நிலைநிறுத்தப்படும்...

நான் அளிக்கும் எந்த தலைப்புகளிலும்
அவருக்கு பரிச்சயம் இல்லையாம்
என்மொழியில் சொன்னால்
அவற்றில் எந்த தலைப்பைப் பற்றியும்
அவனுக்கு அறிவு இல்லையாம்!
பரிச்சயமற்ற எல்லையில்
வழிகாட்டுதல் விதி இல்லையாம்
விதிகளை மதிக்காதவர்கள்
அதை
எங்களுக்கு எதிராக
பயன்படுத்த மட்டும் வைத்துக்கொள்கிறார்கள்!

நீண்டு முளைத்த என் நகங்கள்
அவனின் அரிப்புக்கு
சொரிய தயாராகிவிட்டன
அவனுடைய சொரி சிரங்கின்
சீழும் இரத்தமும்
என் நகக் கணுக்களுக்கிடையில்
ஒட்டிக்கொண்டு
அருவருப்பைத் தருகின்றன.
